About Us
In early 2014, we were sitting in our little music studio at our office as we prayed and sought the Lord on His heart for our nation of Singapore. The Lord spoke: What is in your hands?
We knew that the Lord was referring to the gifts, talents, and passions He had already laid on our hearts. For me, it was always in worship, seeing the church return to the power and intimacy of worship with Him. For Calvin it was always mentorship and discipleship, to see a generation fathered and mothered into the fullness of God’s plan for their lives.
We saw a vision of a Greenhouse, with the most endangered plant species being brought into an environment of the right climate and temperature, being brought back to life, and sent out to be planted across the globe. We knew that the environment of that ‘Greenhouse’ was the Presence of God, breathing life into a community of worshippers that lived out the culture of heaven in the way they loved, influenced, and impacted those around them.
Truth is, we all have a part to play in His grand story. We pray that here at Awaken Generation - within a thriving community of creativity, mentorship, and His presence - you would be awakened to your call and destiny that can only be found in Him.

Who We Are.
Awaken Generation is a worship missions organisation based in Singapore with a vision to raise up a generation of worship leaders, ‘musicianaries’, songwriters, and creatives to impact the nations for Christ with the power of the gospel through worship and music. We believe that the starting point of a missions movement is worship and prayer, central to the awakening of the church and the mighty harvest (Mat 9:37-38) that is to come. As such, Awaken Generation is composed of three parts:
Missions is not the ultimate goal of the Church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t. Worship is ultimate, not missions, because God is ultimate, not man. When this age is over, and the countless millions of the redeemed fall on their faces before the throne of God, missions will be no more. It is a temporary necessity. But worship abides forever.

Singapore has been prophesied as the ‘Antioch of Asia’ for decades. Looking at scripture, the original story of Antioch (Acts 13) states: “...while the church was worshipping and praying, that the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them”. So, after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.”
How will we be sent if we do not first behold in worship?
Worship must overflow into evangelism.
Worship is thus not separate from, but the starting point of a missions movement. By God’s sovereignty, we trust that Awaken Generation has been raised up at a strategic time in Singapore’s history to strengthen the Church to the First commandment, in preparation for a Great Harvest and missions movement to come. Awaken Generation is committed to raising up worshippers in the missional mindset, and mobilising and sending out musicianaries towards the Great Commission.
Vision
We see a movement of worship creatives and leaders transformed, equipped, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live out the Great Commission, impacting the nations for His glory.
Mission
We exist to mentor a generation of worship creatives and leaders by hosting His Presence in a kingdom culture that transforms lives.
